There are a number of yoga places in Sydney that while beautifully designed, charge a lot. Sometimes, you just need some zen without the price tag. We did some hunting and found simple classes that are low-key and well priced.

Barefoot Yoga
For each yoga class, whether it be beginners, vinyasa or hatha, all you need to do is donate between $10–$20 per class. Barefoot believes everyone should enjoy yoga regardless of their financial status.

MCA Spring Yoga Series
Does the thought of doing yoga with a panoramic view of the harbour entice you? MCA are holding their spring yoga series once again. It's free admission and you just need to sign-up online to attend their weekly Thursday classes. On until January 28. Free

Jivamukti Yoga
If you live close to Newtown head to Jivamukti. For only $15 you get a 60-minute class without signing up for a membership.

Life Balance
Life Balance is giving newcomers a free two-week trial to see if its the right fit. Not only do they offer hatha and vinyasa but also Pilates. With two locations in Glebe and the CBD you could easily squeeze in a downward dog during your lunch break. If you buy a 60 class-pass they cost $16 each.

Dancing Warrior Yoga
This St Peters yoga studios offers two free classes during the week on Mondays at 10am and Tuesday at 1pm. You'll be taught by recent yoga teacher graduates with supervision from a senior instructor. The classes are Warrior 1 and suitable for beginners and experienced students.
