Pretty laneway wine bar The Winery has transformed its garden into a whimsical winter wonderland. Through a macramé hanging you’ll be greeted by two “teepees”, oversized “dreamcatchers” and floor cushions.
Visitors can book the structures (which fit up to 12 people) for two-hour sessions. They can choose from two menus: the Happy Glamper and the Bottomless Glamper, or go a la carte. The menu includes raclette (a Swiss semi-hard cheese melted on the wheel) served with raw veggies and crudité skewers; fondue dip, bresaola and roasted mushrooms; riesling and honey-roasted camembert with sourdough; French-onion toasties; and hot-chocolate cannoli.
Pick the Happy Glamper package ($59 per person) and you’ll get the raclette, camembert and cannoli, plus a wine-tasting paddle of four Jacob’s Creek vinos. The Bottomless Glamper option ($79) gets you those snacks, plus two hours of bottomless mulled wine made with Jacob’s Creek shiraz or sangria in red, white or rosé.
If you miss out on a tent you can still enjoy the menu, wrapped in a blanket on one of the nearby benches.
The Winery’s glamping package seating times are Thursday and Friday, 5pm to 7pm and 7.30pm to 9.30pm; Saturday and Sunday, 12pm to 2pm, 2.30pm to 4.30pm, 5pm to 7pm and 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The experience will run from June 14 until the end of August. Book here.
