The Sydney Opera House has announced the full line-up for the 2025 All About Women Festival. Now in its 13th year, the annual festival focuses on issues and ideas important to women and non-binary people.
Organisers teased some headliners last year, including the debut Australian gig from actor and comedian Kate Berlant (Don’t Worry Darling and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), a talk about grief and resilience from Gina Chick and a loving roast of feminism by Lucinda “Froomes” Price, Michelle Brasier and Nakkiah Lui.
A pre-festival talk by journalist Kara Swisher was announced today. Swisher is simultaneously loved and feared in Silicon Valley. Burn Book: A Tech Love Story, her witty and scathing reflections on the tech industry, was released last year and is a New York Times best-seller. Speaking at City Recital Hall on March 5, Swisher will unpack the riddle that is Elon Musk.

SIGN UPSwisher’s talk aside, the festival will take place on the second weekend of March, with all events held at the Sydney Opera House.
Highlights include Skin Deep, a panel on beauty standards and skincare, from Price, cosmetic chemist Dr Michelle Wong, beauty reporter and critic Jessica DeFino and Stynes, and An Industry Off Key, a panel discussion where singers Jaguar Jonze and Barkaa discuss the music industry and the prevalence of racism, sexism and misogyny within it.
Former Matildas goalie Lydia Williams, journalist and media manager Ann Odong and sports reporter Tracey Holmes will discuss women in sports at Game Changers.
The “tradwife” discussion is back on the table, with local writers Rosie Waterland, Jessie Tu and Lui, alongside US-based features writer Megan Agnew (whose article in the Times on Ballerina Farm’s Hannah Neeleman sent the internet into a frenzy in 2024), discussing the Mormon mums of Tiktok and the resurgence of domesticity in pop culture.
Tickets start at $35 for in-person events or from $15 for digital live streams. Pre-sale begins Wednesday January 15 at 9am and general sale begins at 9am on Thursday January 16.
