Sydney’s most beautiful outdoor cinema has confirmed the dates for its 2023 season. Westpac Openair Cinema will run for 40 nights from January 8 until February 21.

Once again the waterfront cinema and its three-storey-tall screen return to Mrs Macquaries Point. As ever, audiences can expect DJs playing pre-film, and plenty of food and drink options – in fact, organisers promise in 2023 there’ll be more dining experiences to choose from than ever. The event typically involves big-name chefs – last year Mike McEnearney (Kitchen by Mike) oversaw several venues in the cinema hub, and Automata’s Clayton Wells and Biota’s James Viles have contributed menus in previous years.

While the films haven’t been confirmed yet, organisers have hinted at what audiences might expect from the 2023 program. On their wishlist? Blockbusters including Elvis and Top Gun: Maverick, rom-com Ticket to Paradise, the much talked-about Don’t Worry Darling, and David Bowie biopic Moonage Daydream.
