Summer in Australia means festivals, and this year we’re adding another big one to the line up. Since launching in Adelaide in 2013 with a new approach to eating and drinking, Royal Croquet Club has been road-tested in Melbourne, becoming one of the best ways to experience summer in both cities.

Now, the Royal Croquet Club is going national, adding dates in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. Each city will get a giant croquet lawn, great dining and drinking, live music and a host more entertainment. And Broadsheet is along for the ride.

We’ll be curating the food precincts with some of our favourite food vendors, and at the Broadsheet Bar you’ll find cocktails from the best bartenders in each city.

First up is Brisbane, which opens this week, where we’ve has put together a bar with five of the best cocktail makers in town – Cobbler, Gerard’s Bar, Lychee Lounge, The Bowery and The Gresham.

We’ll be announcing the line-ups for the food and drink offerings in coming weeks, as well as the bands and DJs who’ll be playing in each state.

Stayed tuned.
