Grammy Award-winning R&B singer, producer and all-round goddess Solange Knowles will visit Sydney in January for a four-night residency at the Opera House. She was last in Australia in 2018 for a sold-out run of shows at Vivid Live. This time around, she’ll be performing a brand new live show and tunes from her most recent album, When I Get Home. The shows, on January 27, 28, 30 and 31, will be her only performances in Australia.

Solange’s performances are known for blurring the lines between art and music concert, with a multi-disciplinary approach combining movement, costume and other musicians, often in architecturally striking venues. Appearing once again in the Opera House’s Concert Hall, Solange will bring with her a 360-degree set, a live band and dancers.

Released in March 2019, her self-produced album When I Get Home is a tribute to her hometown of Houston, where she was raised with her sister Beyoncé. It combines jazz, R&B, funk and hip-hop, and features high-profile collaborators such as Cassie, Gucci Mane and Tyler, The Creator. Solange is beloved by fans for her singular approach to music, video and performance and her celebration of black womanhood.

Solange will perform at the Sydney Opera House on January 27, 28, 30 and 31. General public tickets go on sale August 23 at 9am here.
