Netflix’s new six-part murder mystery The Perfect Couple – centring on a lavish society circle in Nantucket, a coastal idyll off Cape Cod, Massachusetts – drops only on Netflix September 5. Its heavy-hitting cast includes Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) and Dakota Fanning.

Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel of the same name, the show follows bride-to-be Amelia Sacks (played by Eve Hewson) as she prepares to marry into the Winburys, one of the wealthiest families in Nantucket. The mother of the groom, celebrity novelist Greer Garrison (Kidman), has pulled out all the stops for the high-society wedding. But what promised to be a fairytale ends in disaster; a body is found mere hours before the ceremony, and every guest is a suspect.

To celebrate the series, Broadsheet is bringing a touch of the Winburys’ mysterious world to Sydney in the form of a limited-edition cocktail. The Peachy Couple is a delicate peach and bergamot spritz made with Italicus, peach liqueur, grapefruit bitters and prosecco, poured over ice with a dash of soda and baby’s breath. At first taste, it’s light, summery and refreshing. But a few sips in, you’ll notice a sinister twist: the addition of pomegranate arils, which gives the cocktail an unexpected bitterness.
