Features
On Darlinghurst’s Burton Street, you pick your base (brown rice, cabbage or half-and-half) then choose your bowl. Meat options are marinated for two days, then flame-grilled. Tofu is soaked in Korean soy and sesame braised.
It’s run by husband-and-wife duo Janice and Kevin Kim, who have amassed tens of thousands of fans from documenting their life and travels. It’s a family affair here, with the whole family involved in the shop. Photos of the Kim clan at different stages of life adorn the walls.
There’s room for a few diners on bench seating against an exposed brick wall, but most people end up enjoying the bowls while sitting on flipped milk crates on the footpath. Grab a coffee while you wait.
