Features
Mapo’s gelato is always seasonal and always churned in-store – the result is scoops that are smooth, creamy and far from too sweet. The team uses the sweetness of ripe fruit whenever possible, to reduce the amount of sugar added.
Mapo’s flavours range from the expected gelato classics to house specials (Pepe Saya salted caramel, golden kiwi, pear and cinnamon have all made appearances). And Sicilian-style granita is made fresh daily.
The store is bright and inviting. Inside, a yellow-tiled counter and glassy facade create a summery feel, and tree-stump-esque stools sit out the front. Grab a cone (or a cup) and soak up some sunshine.
