Traffic disruptions are expected in and around the CBD this weekend when US Vice President Mike Pence visits as part of his Asia-Pacific tour.

Pence’s personal security detail will be strengthened by an increased local police presence that may delay traffic as he and his entourage move through the city.

The Vice President is expected to meet with several Australian officials and explore Sydney landmarks during his stay. Assistant Police Commissioner Mark Murdoch says police presence will increase in the CBD and around Sydney Harbour.

NSW Police have warned motorists will not be able to park in clearways in around the city, Kirribilli and Mosman from 10am Friday April 21 until 10am Monday April 24.

When using public transport over the weekend, whether it’s a ferry or a bus, be sure to check in advance for any disruptions.
