Watermans Cove, a New Harbourfront Boardwalk, Has Opened at Barangaroo

A new amphitheatre-style boardwalk along the Barangaroo waterfront, Watermans Cove, has opened to the public, adding 11,000 square metres (around 22 basketball courts) of space to the area. The cove will extend the waterfront walkway to 350 metres and provide spaces for people to stroll and sit while looking out at the harbour.
Once the Barangaroo development is finished (currently estimated for 2025), there will be a 14-kilometre foreshore path linking Garden Island in Woolloomooloo with the Fish Markets in Pyrmont. Pre-development, Barangaroo was a 22-hectare concrete container and cruise-shop terminal.
