After yesterday's public transport delays caused by the weekend's storms, a number of incidents have again caused problems on trains, the metro and ferries.
Urgent track equipment repairs in Ashfield have caused delays of up to 15 minutes in both directions on the Western line and North Shore line. The delays on the North Shore line have been exacerbated by a medical emergency in Wynyard earlier this morning.
The T2 Inner West and Leppington line is also experiencing delays from the Ashfield trackwork, with trains to the city not stopping at stations between Summer Hill and Macdonaldtown (Lewisham, Petersham, Stanmore and Newtown). Passengers at those stations are advised to switch to a train back to Ashfield and catch a citybound train from there.
On the T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra line, a medical emergency at Central has also caused delays. And T7 Olympic Park line is running a reduced service after the derailment of an empty train at Flemington this morning.
Ferries are still being impacted by the heavy rain and flooding over the weekend. Buses are replacing ferries between Parramatta and Rydalmere in both directions due to the Parramatta Weir overflowing.
And the metro is running only between Tallawong and Macquarie University this morning, with bus replacements between the university and Chatswood. There are also shuttle bus services between Chatswood and North Ryde, and between Chatswood, Macquarie Park and Macquarie University.
