If you’ve ever had your luggage lost by airlines, this might be your chance to get it back. Sydney Airport is auctioning off thousands of items of lost property starting at just five dollars ¬– but you’re gonna have to be quick if you want to bag a bargain.
Running from Sunday March 5 until Sunday February 12, the auction features “a treasure trove” of more than 3000 unclaimed items including 120 laptops, more than 20 phones and tablets, dozens of headphones, 16 cameras, jewellery, wine, perfume and an air fryer.
Predictably, there are plenty of jackets, handbags, and headphones up for grabs, but some surprising items are also being auctioned off, “like a hedge trimmer, circular saw, and sun lounge – although we’re still scratching our heads wondering how that ended up at the airport,” Sydney Airport CEO Geoff Culbert said in a statement.
