Premier Dominic Perrottet has today announced a new government voucher scheme as part of a $500 million tourism recovery package. From 2022, all New South Wales residents will have $50 in their back pocket to spend on holiday accommodation in the state.

The NSW Government’s new voucher is called Stay and Rediscover, which will operate similarly to the current Dine and Discover vouchers (reminder, you have two new $25 vouchers to use) for hospitality and attractions.

You’ll be able to access the vouchers via the Service NSW app from early 2022, and each $50 voucher can be used on accommodation including hotels, caravan parks and camping grounds.

“Dine and Discover had an enormous impact, so this is about opening up, opening up safely and these vouchers will be incredibly important in getting people out into our state,” said the premier in today’s press conference.

The NSW government also announced a $60 million package to help restart events and attractions across the state.
