Good news, Sydney. The state government has brought some changes to lockout laws forward. From this Friday, you will be able to purchase alcohol from bottle shops until 11pm, and the patron limit for small bars will be increased from 60 to 100.
Justice and Police Minister Troy Grant told the Sydney Morning Herald the government has rushed through changes to the restrictions so Sydney businesses and residents “can take advantage of later trading times during the busy summer holiday period."
Last week we reported that as of January 2017, the lockouts across the CBD and Kings Cross will be pushed to 2am rather that 1.30am and last drinks will be served at 3.30am instead of 3am.
