The fusion of native Australian produce and Chinese recipes has been kicking around in Sydney for a while now. But Lotus Dining Group has certainly sent the concept mainstream with its expanding stable of eateries.
Like Lotus at the Galeries, Barangaroo is a refined affair, and takes full advantage of its waterfront location. Most of its seating is outside, making it a perfect spot for oysters and cocktails in summer.
The menu includes the group's signature dim sum, from pork xiao long bao to chicken, leek and truffle spring rolls. The seafood section is a highlight, and flaunts glistening platters and deep-fried whole fish seasoned with native pepperberry for a main.
