The name YOUENI refers to “you and I” – a nod to its inclusive approach to healthy eating.
The Surry Hills cafe is dedicated to wholefoods and caters to a range of dietary requirements and preferences. The menu is completely gluten-free, with produce ethically sourced and produced in Australia. All grains and seeds are organic and every item, besides the milk and bread, is made in-house.
From raw vegan cheesecakes, nourishing homemade muesli and avo on toast, to the popular Life-Extending Bowl – a salad with pumpkin, turmeric chick peas, broccoli, roasted garlic and citrus cashew relish – YOUENI offers dishes high in nutrients such as protein, iron and calcium.
The cafe only serves Fairtrade coffee, with brands alternating weekly depending on the bean’s popularity, to feature cutting-edge roasts and blends from Australian producers. There is also a range of tea, tisanes, juices and smoothies available.
This is the second location for YOUENI and opened in October 2016, following the success of its flagship foodstore in Castle Hill. It’s in a leafy pocket of Surry Hills, on the corner of Bourke and Hill streets.
