Before West End Espresso came along, there weren't too many places to get a good coffee in Jannali. Now, commuters from the adjacent train station can fuel up with Reuben Hills brews, tea from Ovvio Organics and bread from Cronulla’s Thoroughbred Bakery.

It’s simple food done well here. The menu is seasonal with several breakfast options and sourdough sandwiches for lunch. The Breaky Roll, with ham off the bone, soft-boiled egg, provolone and onion marmalade, is popular, though you’ll do well with a fresh, generous portion of anything off this concise menu.

The furniture was custom made for West End by bespoke woodworker Aaron Hitchcock, and the furnishings are mostly reclaimed. The result is a cosy, inviting space that reflects the local community.
