Sandygoodwich is known for its top-quality ingredients and house-made goods. The cafe serves sandwiches and a number of brunch items.
But the sandwiches are far from ordinary: you can have Korean beef brisket with kimchi on toasted sourdough; or crumbed eggplant with miso mayo and cheddar if you’re vegetarian. All the meat used is cured on site and the preserves, chutney and pickles are made on site, too. Specials rotate, including dishes such as the popular Sandwich Shop Ramen.
Baked goods are a focus as well. House-made croissants and other sweet treats fill the pastry cabinet and you can buy sourdough to take home.
Take a table in front of the open kitchen to watch the chefs plating up. Alternately, there’s a cave-like room for some privacy and another back section with bigger tables. The cafe is littered with cookbooks, which make for a nice read over a coffee.
