Features
The Orchard Street philosophy has always been to make the wellness lifestyle available. From the beginning, Kirsten Shanks, a naturopath and herbalist, wanted to add a Bondi cafe to what she does at Orchard Street Dispensary in Bronte.
This Orchard Street outpost is a comprehensive, holistic offering. Inside the corner cafe, you'll find herbal elixirs, booster shots (aloe vera and chlorophyll), a mylk bar and raw meals that can be packaged up to take back to work or to the beach.
There are anti-inflammatory Indian dosas, which pack cauliflower, pea and zucchini curry inside turmeric-coconut pancakes. Or zucchini “pasta” dressed with wild herb pesto, shitake mushrooms and a truffles.
If you’ve got time to linger, have a seat at the counter for an informative chat with one of the naturopaths working behind the bar. Enjoy a kombucha on tap or a hot drink from the mylk bar. Nut milks are steamed with rich bases such as cacao, chai and dandelion and infused with medicinal herbs and spices.
