Melt Chocolate Bar
Melt Chocolate Bar is a dessert lover’s heaven. Disenchanted with “mass-manufactured desserts”, owner Mejid Hamzy was inspired to create a gourmet venue with a focus on organic, premium and fresh ingredients.
Hamzy has drawn from his personal library of dessert recipes and know-how to put together a decadent menu that features the classics. We’re talking banana split, sundaes and waffle cone ice creams, as well as a number of signature dishes and innovative combinations.
Notable offerings include a creamy rice pudding served with crushed pistachio and cinnamon; a cone filled with milk chocolate and praline mousse centred with caramel creme brulee; mascarpone with rose water and strawberry marinated in Cointreau syrup; and milk chocolate base pizzas offered with a range of sweet toppings.
The interiors are courtesy of Matt Woods, who has taken cues from a number of chocolaty sources to bring symbolism and texture to the space. His monolithic bar, made from a large slab of marble, steel grey factory profile cut-outs, LED-lit wooden dowels and brown and white wall mosaics are all abstract references to chocolate desserts and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
This place has all kinds of desserts that make you melt.
