The cafe at the Museum of Contemporary Art has one of the best views in Sydney and an excellent menu and wine list.

Its menu is seasonal, but the MCA Cafe takes things a step further, shifting its menu to suit the exhibitions at the museum. So even though the cafe has been operating for six years guests can always expect something new. And sometimes the cafe collaborates with another eatery.

There are three ideal times to come to the cafe. The first is on a sunny but cool day when you can sit on the veranda and enjoy views of the Opera House across the harbour. The second is on Wednesday nights, when the cafe is open late for cocktails and a reduced menu. The third is during Vivid Sydney, the music, ideas and arts festival that lights up the city in June every year. Catching the projections on the Opera House sails and across Circular Quay is a peak-beautiful-Sydney pastime.
