Lil Miss Collins made its name in Parramatta with two sought after-pop-ups – the first in a quiet park and the second at historic, 200-year-old Bella Vista Farm.

The cafe’s third and permanent location is 50 metres from Parramatta station and surrounded by office towers, but it retains the former rustic feel. A weathered timber fence surrounds outdoor tables, and farmhouse-style buildings hold the kitchen and coffee bar. Owner Tony Moussa, his dad and brother built the structures from shipping containers and reclaimed wood from rural NSW farms.

Much of the produce also comes from local farms. Phoenician kofta is a Middle East-inspired dish made from lamb kofta, labne, cabbage and pomegranate on toasted Lebanese bread. Brioche French toast comes with strawberries, cream and a generous side of bacon. Although corn fritters aren’t a revolutionary dish, these come layered with spinach and slices of sourdough. A poached egg with za’atar finishes the stack.

Lil Miss Collins roasts its coffee in-house and has added a second brew to the repertoire: a blend of Colombian and Brazilian beans that have a fuller flavour compared to the Orthodox Blend.
