Since opening in 2005, Indigo Double Bay has become a fixture of the harbourside suburb, known and loved for its all-day breakfast, creative lunches and inventive cocktails.

Co-owners and hospitality veterans Christian Verges and Anthony Moustacas have been friends since childhood. Yet their history hasn’t bred complacency. The duo is constantly reinventing Indigo’s menu to showcase seasonal produce and push the boundaries of the contemporary Australian brunch.

All-day breakfast might include Alaskan crab omelette served with papaya salad, or French toast delicately presented with macadamia crumble and orange blossom fairy floss. All-day lunch options could range from a vermicelli noodle bowl to a creamy king prawn rigatoni. Everything, from the pastas to the pastries, is made in-house.

In keeping with the all-day theme, the drinks menu lists a bespoke coffee blend from The Reformatory Caffeine Lab alongside a tight list of cocktails, including a signature Bloody Mary spiked with Belvedere vodka.

Inside is bright and airy, with marble countertops and bi-fold doors that open onto a leafy al fresco area.
