Hevan Espresso opened in 2013 and has been the go-to coffee spot for locals ever since. The coffee machine is situated directly ahead as you enter, with empty green bean coffee sacks draped above. You’re also likely to notice the outdoor blackboard with funny write-ups, such as “Currently not trending on Twitter” or “Blow your mortgage on smashed avocado here”.
Single O coffee is served daily for white coffees. Black coffee sometimes rotates to other roasters. Cold brew made in-house can be taken home in 500 millilitre or one-litre bottles.
The roasted pork belly roll is a favourite on the small food menu, alongside various toasties, such as three cheeses, roma tomato and ham on Coal Coast Sourdough. Batches of muffins are baked fresh every morning and usually don’t outlast the day.
