Of all Flower Child’s signature moves (colourful, photogenic brunches swooned over by similarly good- looking patrons, for example), the third instalment of this Northern Beaches favourite pulls off one especially well: it exudes the same transportive quality you’d find at its Chatswood and Brookvale counterparts – the one where you feel as though you’ve stumbled upon a peaceful garden gazebo smack-bang in the middle of a bustling shopping centre.

The interior design by Luchetti Krelle features hanging greenery and potted plants strewn throughout the space. Warm lighting glows up the earthy colour palette, creating a stark contrast to the fluorescent atmosphere of the surrounding complex. All in all, it’s an ideal setting to refuel after a lengthy shopping spree.

The all-day menu bounces between artfully-plated breakfast fare (mixed mushrooms sautéed with truffle oil, carrot purée and pesto; served with poached eggs and sourdough) and hearty, wholesome lunch bowls. Some items, such as the burgers, sandwiches and acai bowl, are available to takeaway.

Pastries, bread and coffee (including cold drip and pour-over) are by The Grounds of Alexandria.
