Euforia Espresso
Menu - Mr Yum
Features
There’s no shortage of coffee along Balmain’s Darling Street, but if a full-bodied brew is what you’re after, it’s unlikely that you’ll be disappointed by the Mecca grind from the gleaming Synesso machine at Euforia.
Set on the crest of the hill, Euforia’s rustic façade is set against views of the Harbour Bridge, one of the perks of its location. Humble, just like the cafe’s owner Kevin Luu, the neutral-toned interior comprises communal tables that bask in natural sunlight from deep bay windows. A playful specials board tells of the rotating list of frothy gelato milkshakes, like Belgian chocolate and vanilla bean, in colourful alphabet letters that’ll make you smile.
Toast by Brasserie Bread, water by Antipodes and Riverina Milk all make appearances here. Pick from organic bircher muesli or porridge with blueberry compote from the all-day breakfast menu, or try the ‘American Bacon Breakfast’ (a favourite among locals) with poached eggs, tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms. If you’re going to be strolling around Balmain and need the extra energy, Euforia’s brioche French toast topped with ricotta, fresh blueberries, honey and walnuts proves a step in a very, very good direction.
