Wollongong Library isn’t the first place you’d think to head to for a decent coffee. But think again. Crafted Espresso, a small takeaway espresso bar with sandwiches and pastries, is situated inside the Council Building before the library entrance.
Delano Specialty Coffee originally owned the space but it changed hands and got a facelift in 2013. It’s the perfect place to grab a coffee before or after checking out a book – or even just to hang out; there’s loads of natural light beaming through the surrounding windows.
Crafted Espresso stays true to its roots by using a Delano blend for most milk coffees. Single origins for espresso and filter (both pour-over or cold brew) rotate and come from the likes of Five Senses, Market Lane and Code Black. Luxe Bakery in Sydney supplies the concise range of sandwiches, salads and pastries.
