Inside the Bondi Icebergs Winter Swimming Club, The Crabbe Hole serves robust coffees, simple breakfasts and lunches.
When the weather isn’t blustery, order at the counter and take a seat at one of the cafe’s handful of tables overlooking the iconic Bondi Icebergs pool and the ocean just beyond. If it’s too windy for that, there’s also seating inside.
Space is limited, which means the menu is succinct – pastries and bread from Brickfields are served with homemade jam and Pepe Saya butter, there’s granola, toasties, a Croque Madame and seasonal salads too.
The coffee here is strong – a standard is served with a double espresso shot, and the house blend by Sydney-based Mothersky Coffee features some Australian-grown Arabica.
