Features
Back when Blackwood owners Rob Lechowicz, Daniel Sorridimi and Paul Pisani were planning their Cronulla cafe, they decided to collaborate with the best in the business. The polished concrete and pastel-hinted interior is by Luchetti Krelle, one of the most sought-after design firms in Sydney’s hospitality scene. The light, fresh and approachable look is perfect for Blackwood’s beachside Cronulla setting.
Lechowicz – a Michelin-trained chef and the executive here – has created a menu that includes jazzy takes on classics like ricotta hotcakes and avo toast, and occasionally spices things up with Mediterranean and Asian influences. There are seemingly endless options to customise your breakfast plate or create one from scratch; from chickpea and fava falafels to seared teriyaki salmon.
As well as house coffee served every way, there’s a selection of teas by T Totaler and chai by Masala. Blackwood is licensed, which means there are craft beers on tap, a short selection of wines and fresh cocktails for brunch and dinner.
