Features
The much loved Newtown hotspot Black Star Pastry is baking up a storm in Rosebery. The bakery team make all the old favourites - keep an eye out for the Persian orange cake, strawberry and watermelon cake, or bread and butter pudding, not to mention their sourdough bread, flaky pastries and signature pies - including Young Henry’s beer and brisket.
The light and airy warehouse conversion interiors were completed by Smith & Carmody (who also designed Cornersmith and Brickfields), and making the most of the raw brick, high ceiling feel the area is known for. Stop by for a coffee by Little Marionette – with cold drip and filter options, and pair it with a caramelised, custardy cannelle.
