Black Star Pastry Moore Park
Black Star Pastry’s headquarters is a huge two-storey cafe and production facility in the centre of Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter. It’s easily its biggest venue, but it’s not the size that makes it exciting. This is where Black Star Pastry can experiment and expand on its already much loved offering.
The kitchen space and its state-of-the-art tools (including an ultrasonic robot cake cutter and a rapid-fire egg-splitting machine) mean that this team of gun pastry chefs have time and scope to make more than just strawberry and watermelon cakes – it’s most famous product – all day.
From this space the bakery and sweets shop has increased and elevated its bread production and is serving a range of pies (sometimes from a local pie cart for local football games). If you want to taste the latest from the team's imagination, this is where you can do it.
This space has a different feel to the other Black Star locations around Sydney; it’s all clean lines; white paint; big open spaces and there’s a grand mezzanine looking over it all. The entire production area is walled with glass so pedestrians on an afternoon stroll can see how each cake and pie is made.
