Just north of Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads is arguably the true gem of the Northern Rivers, with plenty of hidden beaches, grassy riverbanks and quality eating options. It’s also home to The Brunswick, a contemporary boutique hotel within easy walking distance of all that the Heads have to offer.

Its 18 rooms are designed with a minimalist aesthetic and feature earth-toned linens from Cultiver, rattan furniture and heavy stone planters by Fossil Vintage.

The Brunswick boasts a kidney-shaped saltwater swimming pool surrounded by beanbags, rustic deckchairs and tasselled cream umbrellas, with a poolside bar serving local beer from Stone & Wood, natural wine from Jilly Wines and pre-mixed cocktails from The Everleigh Bottling Co. On weekends, the lawn plays host to local food trucks and live acoustic performances.

While there’s no on-site restaurant, charcuterie plates and seafood platters are available on request. A continental breakfast from Le Petit Brekkie is available every morning, either delivered to your room or your perch on the shaded pool deck. If you’re keen to explore the area, bikes and paddleboards can be hired from reception.
