BreweryNotable Beer ListTaproom meets local pub at Freshie Clubhouse, Freshwater Brewing Company’s 250-seat venue on the northern beaches. Lacy Sturrock and Sam Smith (who run Folly’s Bar & Bistro at Cammeray) purchased the space in 2026 and decked it out with wood panels, warm lighting and carpet. There’s also an outdoor dining area out the front that catches heaps of sunshine.
The taproom has the cosiness of a local pub with the space of a brew hall – 15 taps pour Freshwater drops that are still brewed on-site. And the beers feature in roughly half of the venue’s cocktail list. There’s also a handful of wines available by the glass or bottle.
Food fits the pub-style brief as well. Chicken schnitzels, crumbed lamb cutlets and pan-fried barramundi are all standouts. A heftier option is a rendition on a classic fish’n’chip shop burger with the lot.
