Dad & Dave’s Brewing

In 2011, father-son team John and Dave Dumay took their home brewing to the masses with their simply-named craft beer brand, Dad and Dave’s Brewing. With the whole family in tow (including siblings Jess, Scotty and James; and mum Jenny Hatton), John and Dave opened their laid-back taproom to the public in 2017, right in the heart of Brookvale's industrial area. To this day, it remains a small, family-run operation

John and Dave are all about approachable and traditional styles, so you’ll always find a pilsner, lager and pale ale on tap. But there are plenty of rotating specials and inventive flavours to try, too. Expect to see hop-heavy hazy IPAs, fruit-infused smoothie sours, oat cream IPAs and rich pastry stouts. For non beer-drinkers, there’s a range of native Australian gins and seltzers distilled on-site under the name Wildspirit Distilling Co.

Dad and Dave’s is just as well known for its food truck, from which you can grab classic cheeseburgers, fried chicken sandwiches, buffalo cauliflower and jalapeno poppers – the perfect match for a crisp lager or hoppy ale.
