At first glance at Tuchuzy, it’s difficult to believe that either location is fashionable. The men’s store is a bit cramped and almost overstocked; the women’s store is nondescript. But perhaps it is this subtlety that sums up the Tuchuzy vision.

With the men’s store one block away from balmy Bondi Beach and the women’s store only a few streets back, the sibling stores are targeted at a confident and fashion savvy crowd looking to mix sun, sand and style. Indeed, one of their key labels is that of the poster child for cool, Chloe Sevigny, whose collections for cult retailers Opening Ceremony and collaboration with skatewear brand Vision Street Wear epitomise the store’s up-market street sense.

But don’t be mistaken; this is definitely a store that takes fashion seriously. Alexander Wang, Equipment, Rag & Bone and VPL are stocked here along with local stable mates Arnsdorf, Bassike, Bec & Bridge, Ellery and both Therese Rawshtorne’s namesake line and her diffusion label, T.R. Ensemble. It’s the perfect place to shop after a day at the beach.
