According to the co-founders of The Well, Robby Ingham and Kieran Bobby, feeling good should not be a luxury. The Well is a “wellness concierge” and cafe at Bondi Beach, and for Ingham it’s about helping people better manage their lives.
The concierge idea is about connecting members with the right trainers and health professionals through tailored health support – all under one roof. The Well offers a range of services with in-house exercise physiologists, nutritionists, chiropractors, naturopaths, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, kinesiology practitioners and psychologists.
On top of a well fitted-out gym (which offers Pilates, barre, yoga, meditation and more), there’s an on-site cafe, which is also open to non-members.
Most of the produce is sustainably farmed on Ingham’s own Crooked River Surf Lodge Farm on the south coast. For breakfast there’s corn and kale fritters and Bircher muesli. For lunch try the mango salad bowl or the Gym Staple with grilled zucchini and peas. There are a few wines on offer, too. The menu caters for all with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free options.
The design was taken care of by Sydney-based design firm Tom Mark Henry. The unusual curved design of the building, glass ceiling, and beachside location capture the sunlight and stunning views of Bondi Beach.
