It’s no surprise Sydney loves a good snack, and the team behind Self Raised Bread Shoppe and My Mother’s Cousin knows it. For the sequel to their blockbuster Carlton bakery, they’re turning out some of the city’s best – from inventive pastries to hulking sandwiches – from a walk-up bakery window with a retro milk bar feel.
Plenty of fan-favourites from Bread Shoppe are here, notably the smoked beef sandwich and those Boston cream doughnuts. But you can also expect exclusive items, including a fish sandwich with double hake fillets, American cheese, pickles and house tartar. Add shoestring fries with chicken salt for the win.
