This upstairs room at The Clock Hotel stocks more than 100 whiskies from around the world, including the highlands of Scotland, the US, Japan, Taiwan, NZ and (of course) some Australian locals.

The specialised drinks menu is a chance to get to know basic favourites right through to more complex, extravagant or unusual styles of whisky – everything from young six year olds to tipples that have been aged for 18 and 21 years. Appreciation methods include monthly whisky flights (three whiskies highlighting a region, country or brand), boilermaker specials (craft beer matched to a shot of whisky), or the compact list of whisky cocktails, including classic sours and Manhattans.

The room has a leather and raw-wood feel, creating a vintage and anthropological feel for the whisky adventure. The menu sports a little whisky history as well as staff picks and recommendations, making it easy to appreciate the difference between scotch, single malt and rye varieties. No prior whisky experience is needed, because you can educate yourself right here.
