The whole operation is set in one big room, with a bar and kitchen on one side and the main space and balcony – from which you can look out over the glistening palm trees in the park – on the other. The drinking area is dimly lit with concrete floors and walls covered in dark timber panelling of several different hues.
At the bar, there's Little Creatures, Peroni and a small but wallet-friendly wine list. The equally slim cocktail list sports sweet classics as well as drinks like the crazily named From Pool to Freedom (a mix of Red Bull, passionfruit syrup, basil and leaves of aloe vera).
The food menu offers up a raft of drinking grub standards. Burgers, nachos, hot dogs and chilli fries sit alongside chicken and mushroom risotto, corn fritters with grilled asparagus and what seems to be the bar's signature dish, chicken wings.
Live music is also on the cards, adding yet another reason to stop in and give this bar a whirl.
