When Dave Robinson and his sons Cam and Nick brewed their first beer together at home near Quakers Hat Bay, a tiny cove in Sydney’s Middle Harbour, it tasted far better than they could have imagined. Since 2019, they’ve been steadily turning their hobby into a commercial-scale operation, naming their brewery after the place where it all began.

The family opened their rustic little taproom in 2021, with just seven taps and a focus on easy-drinking beers. Cam has taken the reins as head brewer, leaning mainly toward traditional beer styles. There’s a crisp kolsch, a crowd-favourite Red Rye IPA, and plenty of nods to modern craft beer trends: hazy IPAs, black lagers and more.

The space is decked out with rustic timber tables and iron chandeliers, sourced and inspired by Dave and wife Sue’s other business selling and restoring antique furniture. If you’re planning on settling in with a tasting flight, grab a pizza (supplied by locals Ciao Belli) or a grazing board while you’re at it. The taproom also hosts trivia on Thursday night, and live music every Friday and Saturday.
