The Local Bar

The Local Bar is a tiny little drinking den – all cinder block walls, a pressed tin bar and back wall mural of fish swimming amongst bottles – but it’s got some big name backers.

With the combined star power of names including Sam Neill, David Wenham, Rob Sitch and George Gregan behind it, there’s certainly some celebrity cred to this haunt. But despite the famous faces, The Local Bar is a humble little venue, inspired by the small bars of Japan and with a focus on providing a relaxed little watering hole for good drinks and good conversation.

A nice, tidy little spot for a relaxing wine or gin and tonic, it’s certainly got that hidey-hole small bar appeal.
