This little guy sure packs a big punch. Housed in an old shopfront on Glebe Point Road, The Little Guy sits close to other hot spots such as Bar 99, Mr Falcon's and Bedlam Bar. And with a cool fit-out, stellar beer list and endless bowls of popcorn to munch on, The Little Guy is a key stop on a Glebe bar crawl.

The entire joint comprises just three small rooms. The front room houses the bar, while the two back rooms are punctuated by couches and tables. Pot plants hang around the front room and the elegant bar is backed with beer paraphernalia and surrounded by comfy stools.

Ale enthusiasts will be in paradise. There's John Boston, 4 Pines, Stone & Wood and Sierra Nevada. Cocktails are decidedly old-fashioned and change regularly – check the handwritten menu. The wine list is also solid and focuses largely on Australian plonk with a smattering of European wines thrown in for good measure.

Tasting plates provide sustenance for grazers. Try the blue cheese plate if you've gone the dark ale option. The popcorn comes gratis and is dispensed from an old-timey machine, presumably plundered from a movie theatre. Play your cards right, and you might even score a second bowl.
