Atomic
Menu
Atomic is the east-coast debut by WA brewery giant Gage Roads. Sitting halfway down Redfern’s Regent Street in a mid-century warehouse, its colourful facade is tough to miss. But it’s what inside that truly stands out.
For one, Atomic looks like no other brewery in Sydney. From the atomic-green Pyrolave bartop to the retina-piercing red of the bathrooms, Atomic’s taproom wouldn’t look out of place inside the MCA. Then there’s the brewery itself, which replicates the Fremantle mothership’s base water using cutting-edge technology. While most Sydey breweries keg their beers before tapping them, a selection of Atomic’s brews are poured fresh from the tanks.
Atomic’s core range (Pale Ale, Hazy, XPA, Mando Sour and Redfern Lager) is the best place to start, but you can also expect limited and seasonal releases in the mix, plus lo-fi wines by Doom Juice and spirits by Brix. Atomic also has a full-service restaurant where you can grab Asian-inspired pub fare to go with your booze. The signature Atomic burger is a highlight, as are the gochujang beef sausage rolls with sticky kimchi ketchup, and soba noodles with vege and miso-sesame dressing.
