Beerhaus is a new concept from the Rockpool Dining Group. It's what happens when a German beer hall meets a grown-up American arcade. Expect Brooklyn-style restored industrial spaces – all high ceilings and red-brick walls – combined with big communal tables.

To drink, there'll be the usual Australian craft contingent alongside German and Belgian smashable stalwarts. The food menu will focus on shareable American food like barbeque, buffalo wings and burgers.

It's all housed in a 300 person, 600 square-metre space. That will leave plenty of room for classic American games like cornhole, skee ball and shuffleboard.
