This season, footwear designers from Australia to London released summer staples – from slides to slippers – in a kaleidoscopic palette.

Romance Was Born collaborated with Beau Coops for a second instalment of theatrical styles (that complement its Whispering Angel collection), including mint-green slingbacks with exaggerated buckles.

With all these jewel tones around, consider colour blocking your look head-to-toe and pair your favourite denim with Mimco’s blue suede slides. Sydney-based designer Prince and Pauper reimagined the classic leather sandal with one-of-a-kind, hand-beaded flats with new and recycled embellishments in sparkly sapphire, emerald and metallics.

Those with toe shyness should try an open-heel style, such as nectarine mules by Beau Coops, or Sophie Webster’s backless trainers adorned with leather bouquets.
