Vivid Sydney and Carriageworks have a strong history of one-night-only performances featuring female stars working at the fringes of pop experimentation: St. Vincent in 2018, Goldfrapp in 2017 and an experiential DJ set from Björk in 2016. That streak continues this year with an exclusive performance by UK pop-dance chameleon FKA Twigs on Sunday June 9.

FKA Twigs’ first performance in Australia since 2014, we’re giving one reader and a friend the chance to win tickets and see what all the fuss is about.

FKA Twigs – aka Tahliah Barnett – last came to Australia in 2014 for Laneway Festival. Since then she’s released the 2015 EP M3LL155X and broadened her creative boundaries through staging elaborate live productions; appearing on a high-profile ASAP Rocky track, 2018’s Fukk Sleep; and starring in a now-iconic Apple ad directed by Spike Jonze, in which she dances to Anderson Paak. In 2016 she released the single-only track Good to Love and in April the spare new track Cellophane from her forthcoming as-yet-untitled follow up to her 2014 debut LP1.
