One of Sydney’s best cafes, Paramount Coffee Project, will host a Christmas pop-up at Darlinghurst’s Taylor Square in collaboration with surf and lifestyle clothing label Banks Journal. From Thursday to Sunday between December 5 and 15, the purveyor of excellent brews and fried-chicken burgers will be selling its new-release merch, which features artwork by Sydney illustrator and artist Sonny Day (one half of collaborative duo We Buy Your Kids). The range includes T-shirts, baseball caps, shorts with matching shirts, waffle-weave bathrobes and slippers.

There’ll also be PCP coffee, house-baked cookies and savoury pies (ranging from the traditional to a decadent mac’n’cheese). While you wait for your snacks, peruse the clothing racks and check out the original paintings for sale by Day (who’ll also be painting a new work on-site). Microbiologist Jana Stewart, owner of Petersham’s Microcosm, will also be selling plants.

If you missed the recent holiday market on the roof of Paramount House Hotel, this event is a great opportunity to pick up a Christmas gift for whoever’s still on your list.

The Paramount Coffee Project x Banks Journal Christmas Pop-Up is at 191 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst from December 5 to 15. It’s on Thursday to Saturday from 11am to 7pm, and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
