Fashion, Art, Sake and Miyake: Three Last-Minute Events To Head to Tonight
Words by Grace Mackenzie · Updated on 20 Jun 2024 · Published on 20 Jun 2024
It’s Thursday night and you don’t have plans. Boring. Live a little! Be spontaneous and fun and head to one of these three excellent events instead.
Time and Space launch party at the Ace Hotel
Perks & Mini (or PAM) is the Melbourne-born, cult-followed clothing and lifestyle house with a knack for curating covetable pieces and designing vibe-heavy capsule collections with other creatives. The latter is in play here with Time and Space, the PAM and Ace Hotel release that's available to shop now.
To celebrate the release of the six-piece collection, PAM’s founders Shauna Toohey and Misha Hollenbach are hosting a party in the Ace’s lobby bar tonight. Head in from 7.30pm till late to check out the collection, then groove as Byron Spencer performs. Plus, the first drink’s on the house.
The Time and Space launch party takes over the Ace Hotel Lobby from 7.30pm till late.
Miyake and Sake at Maido
The new coffee shop from Provider and Artificer, Maido, is hosting a fashionable soiree today. From 3pm till 9pm, head into the Flinders Street space to shop a collection of archival Issey Miyake pieces. Browse one-off sample pieces and a few rare pre-pleats pieces that were designed by Miyake himself. Prices start at $200, and there will be sake on pour too.
Miyake and Sake hits Maido from 3pm till 9pm.
Reverie launch party at The Vault House
Rainbow Studios, the bright creative space in Darlinghurst, is hosting Reverie, an exhibition by artists Tan Arlidge and Joshua Space – and there’s a launch party tonight to celebrate. Head into the Clarence Rooms at The Vault House in the CBD from 7pm to explore the bold works that play with lighting, texture and colour. Plus, champagne on arrival. RSVP to the free event now.
The Reverie launch party takes over The Vault House from 7pm till 9pm.
