IN BED’s new product range offers textiles for the kitchen, and other places we love to eat. On the floor? Sure. At the table? Even better.
There are classic aprons and tea towels, market bags and tablecloths all in durable French flax linen – the kind that feels better the more you use it. There are also matching linen napkins, linen coasters and placemat sets in cool colourways. "Much like our bedding, our kitchen textiles are designed to be used and loved over and over again, becoming entrenched in great memories at each meal," says IN BED director Pip Vassett.
The range launched last month with a sunset dinner at North Brooklyn Farms in New York, in collaboration with Flinders Lane Restaurant (a modern Australian restaurant in Manhattan). “New York holds a special place in many people's hearts, including my own, so it was a bit of a dream to host a dinner in such an iconic spot, overlooking the Manhattan skyline right under the Williamsburg Bridge,” Vassett says. “Sharing a meal has the same meaning the world over – a time to come together and enjoy good food and each other's company. We plan on hosting more around Australia and the globe and getting our customers involved, too.”
To coincide with the launch of the kitchen range this week, IN BED is hosting a market day at its Chippendale studio. With freshly squeezed OJ and croissants from Brickfields, all IN BED linen, homewares and the new kitchen range will be for sale alongside small bunches of flowers and IN BED linen market bags filled with locally grown produce by Foragers & Co for purchase on the day.
The IN BED market day is on Saturday September 24 from 9am–4pm at 77 Buckland Street, Chippendale.
